This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the historic Wet Plate Collodion Process, a photographic technique dating back to 1851. Participants will learn how to create tintypes (metal plates), ambrotypes (positive images on glass), and glass negatives, all using the original process developed by Frederick Scott Archer. The Wet Plate Collodion process has seen a resurgence in the fine art photography world, including historical reenactments, and is practiced by modern photographers such as Sally Mann. This workshop offers participants a hands-on experience with this intricate yet rewarding method.
